Position Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Electrical Inspector to support the electrical maintenance and inspection functions on-site in Hatillo. This person will work under the supervision of a Perito Electricista (Electrical Surveyor / Master Electrician) and assist in inspections, maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the licensed Perito Electricista in performing inspections, testing, and compliance checks on electrical systems and installations.

- Support routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment, wiring, panels, and related components.

- Help prepare and run conduit, wire, cable, junction boxes, lighting fixtures, switches, and protective devices under supervision.

- Assist in reading electrical diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support work tasks.

- Help maintain work areas, tools, and equipment, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety.

- Adhere to safety regulations, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and support safe work practices at all times.

- Document work performed, report issues to supervisor, and maintain inspection and maintenance logs.

- Assist in ensuring compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Electrician License (Licencia de Perito Electricista) per Puerto Rico regulations.

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, components, circuitry, and electrical codes.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.

- Experience using hand and power tools associated with electrical installation and repair.

- Strong adherence to safety protocols and practices.

- Good verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and preferably English.

- Physically capable of the work: climbing ladders, lifting equipment, working in confined spaces, etc.

- Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively with electricians, and learn on the job.

Preferred / Advantageous

- Some prior work experience in industrial, commercial or manufacturing electrical settings.

- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.

- Knowledge of local permitting, inspections, and electrical compliance in Puerto Rico.
