Our client is a leading federal services contractor specializing in complex military construction projects for government clients. The organization delivers large-scale projects in demanding environments with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and project execution.

The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a major project in Darwin, Australia and play a key role in delivering large-scale infrastructure work for a federal client.

About the Position

The Project Manager will oversee one of three major projects and manage day-to-day execution through all phases of the project lifecycle, including startup, design and engineering, construction, change management, commissioning, closeout, and warranty.

Reporting to the Project Executive , the PM will serve as a key point of contact for the client and internal/external stakeholders while leading a large, multidisciplinary project team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage client relationships while protecting company interests.

- Oversee design, engineering, construction, safety, quality, and scheduling functions.

- Manage project financial activities, including accounts receivable and payable.

- Negotiate and execute contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors and suppliers.

- Lead weekly and monthly project meetings with project stakeholders.

- Ensure contractual and administrative requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.

- Identify and secure resources necessary for successful project execution.

- Maintain clear and consistent communication across the project team.

- Support successful project delivery through commissioning, closeout, and warranty.

- Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Project Executive or Division President.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management , or related field required.

- 12+ years of total construction experience , including at least 5 years as a Project Manager
on heavy civil infrastructure projects valued at $50M+ .

- DOD, USACE, or NAVFAC experience required.

- Experience managing large, multidisciplinary project teams.

- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction and federal project requirements.

- Advanced degree (MBA/MS) or professional certification/registration such as PMP or PE preferred.

- Fluent English communication skills required.

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 experience preferred .

- Ability to successfully pass required background and security checks.

- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% to Darwin, Australia .
