At The Child Development Center, we are searching for a loving, energetic, and dedicated assistant infant teacher to join our team.   We are a NAEYC-accredited preschool located in Southwest Austin. As an established non-profit preschool, our primary focus is on children, families, and staff. We serve children infants - Pre-K.

Duties Include:

- Collaborating with Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)

- Collaborate with Lead Teacher regarding assessments, classroom materials, and specific child skill development

- Supporting children’s learning by implementing the lesson plan

- Communicating with families both verbally and in writing

- Building positive relationships with parents and coworkers

- Serve as positive role model for all the children

- Encourage language development through developmentally appropriate activities, songs, questions, books, and other means

- Active engagement with students and participation in classroom activities at all times

- Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning

Qualifications:

- Required ~ High School Diploma or GED

- Preferred ~ Associate's or CDA

- Previous infant experience preferred

- Candidates must meet all Texas DFPS requirements and must pass a background check

- Must be able to lift/carry 30+ pounds

- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time

- General computer proficiency
