About this role
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing essential support to medical staff and delivering personal care to patients. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with daily living activities: Helping patients with bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
Monitoring vital signs: Measuring and recording patients' vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature.
Maintaining a clean environment: Ensuring a safe and hygienic patient environment to promote well-being.
Supporting medical staff: Assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering care.
Communicating with patients: Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
Qualifications
Medical knowledge of infection control and anatomy
Experience with ADL assistance
Active listening and empathy skills to understand and advocate for patients needs
Strong recordkeeping skills to support accurate, timely medical record documentation
Basic first aid skills and wound care
CPR certification
Ability to operate equipment to take vital signs, move patients or conduct other basic care tasks
