This position is part of the Marie-Curie Doctoral Network (EU MSCA project Mobile and Optical Networks for 6G (MONET-6G)):

- You will explore novel optical 3D sensing techniques using multicore fiber (MCF) for 6G. This includes:

- Design and implement an optical 3D sensing unit using multicore fiber (MCF) with improved frame rate and resolution.

- Adapt existing LiDAR prototypes to employ multicore fiber and spatial division multiplexing for applications such as autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs).

- Develop optical 3D sensing in MCF, including adapting existing systems and developing the necessary optics.

- Develop real-time MIMO DSP algorithms (implementable on FPGA) for crosstalk mitigation in the multicore fiber.
