Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Systems Administrator in Mackenzie, British Columbia, Canada to provide hands-on support for mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of server, storage, networking, and GPU/CPU hardware environments.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary on-site technical resource, ensuring infrastructure availability, reliability, and performance through proactive maintenance, hardware upgrades, break-fix support, and coordination with Lenovo engineering and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and support server, storage, networking, and GPU/CPU infrastructure.
- Perform hardware break-fix activities, component replacements, and preventative maintenance.
- Perform hardware integration and validation testing for newly installed systems.
- Rack, stack, cable, label, and document new equipment deployments.
- Perform replacement of failed components, including:
- GPUs
- CPUs
- DIMMs/Memory
- Power Supplies
- Network Adapters
- Storage Drives
- Motherboards
- Cooling Components

- Respond to hardware alerts and critical incidents in accordance with service level agreements.
- Execute firmware, BIOS, and software updates in accordance with Lenovo best practices.
- Manage support cases with Lenovo engineering and third-party vendors, tracking issues through resolution.
- Participate in technical review meetings and provide infrastructure status updates.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and planned outages with customers and support teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to hardware, configurations, upgrades, and repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise data center hardware environments.
- Strong knowledge of servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and GPU/CPU infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, break-fix, and component replacement.
- Familiarity with firmware management, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience working with vendor support organizations and managing technical escalations.
- Basic Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, or SUSE).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) or clustered environments.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA GPU-based systems and high-speed networking technologies.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is 67,400–103,270 CAD . Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
