Job Description:

Assistant Resident Engineer – MEP (Stormwater)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented   Assistant Resident Engineer – MEP   to join our team! In this role you will support construction supervision delivery of stormwater infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliant installation, testing and handover.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Support the Resident Engineer in day-to-day supervision of MEP works for stormwater pump stations.
- Monitor installation of mechanical and electrical systems (pumps, piping/valves, electrical equipment, controls/instrumentation) in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Review contractor submissions including method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and material submittals; follow up closures.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, pre-commissioning/commissioning activities, and support handover documentation and permits/approvals as required.
- Monitor progress and quality, manage NCRs/technical queries, and support reporting and site coordination with stakeholders.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in   Mechanical Engineering   or   Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum   10 years   relevant experience with strong  infrastructure project exposure.
- Strong knowledge of Stormwater pump station systems, testing/commissioning processes, and construction supervision practices.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

- Experience supervising   pump station upgrade/retrofit   works while maintaining operational interfaces.
- Familiarity with local authority permit/handover requirements and close-out documentation (as-builts, O&M manuals, commissioning records).
- Exposure to instrumentation/controls and   SCADA   systems.
