Saint James School of Medicine, St. Vincent Campus is seeking a reliable, skilled and proactive individual to join our team as a Maintenance Coordinator.
The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the campus, ensuring that classrooms, offices, bathrooms, equipment and other facilities are safe, functional and properly maintained.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct daily inspections of the campus and promptly identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure classrooms, bathrooms and other facilities are operational and ready for daily use.
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and furniture repairs.
- Monitor air-conditioning systems and coordinate servicing and repairs when necessary.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and identify potential problems before they become major issues.
- Assist with moving furniture, room preparation, renovations and other campus projects.
- Maintain proper accountability for maintenance tools, equipment and supplies.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain appropriate records of maintenance issues, repairs and completed work.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance matters and follow through until issues are resolved.
The successful candidate must also be punctual, dependable and accountable, demonstrate initiative, have good problem-solving skills and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
