JOB SUMMARY

The Hiring/Scheduling Manager is responsible for coordinating and maintaining recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staff scheduling functions within the Residential Habilitation/Supported Living Department. This position ensures that qualified staff are recruited, hired, trained, and appropriately scheduled to meet the needs of individuals served.

The Hiring/Scheduling Manager maintains accurate applicant and employee records, monitors staffing levels, coordinates coverage, and works collaboratively with supervisors, Human Resources, and department leadership to address staffing needs. This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care, compliance with required staffing ratios, efficient workforce utilization, and staff retention.

The Hiring/Scheduling Manager must maintain a working knowledge of the individuals served, and their specific support needs to ensure staffing assignments are appropriate. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage all HR processes related to posting positions, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff for the Res Hab/SL Department.

- Maintain an organized tracking system for applicants, including contact status, interview outcomes, hiring decisions, and length of employment.

- Ensure all HR and training requirements for Res Hab/SL employees are completed and properly documented.

- Monitor and assist with group home staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and minimize overtime.

- Maintaining working knowledge of individuals serves to ensure staffing meets their needs.

- Ensure proper staffing ratios and compliance with state, federal, and organizational requirements

- Coordinate coverage for call-offs, vacancies, and emergency staffing needs

- Communication schedule changes promptly with employees and supervisors

- Track attendance, tardiness, and call-offs; escalate concerns as needed

- Collaborate with HR and leadership on staffing trends, shortages, and workforce planning

- Maintain scheduling systems and ensure accuracy of employee availability and assignments

- Assist with onboarding new hires by integrating them into schedules

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- High School Diploma required, some college coursework or a bachelors degree preferred

- Experience in staff supervision and employee recruitment required

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and tracking systems

Job Requirements

- Successful completion of a Medication Administration Course

- Valid drivers license with F endorsement

- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed

Physical Requirements

- Successful completion of a physical examination

- Ability to lift varying amounts of weight as required by job duties
