Position Summary
As an HVAC Service Manager, you'll lead and manage daily operations for the service
department, coaching technicians and making sure every job gets done safely, efficiently, and to
a high standard. This leadership position offers real long-term stability and room to keep
growing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and mentor HVAC service technicians, conducting team meetings, ride-alongs,
and performance reviews
Oversee daily scheduling, routing, and job assignments, providing technical guidance and
troubleshooting support as needed
Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local and state HVAC regulations
Collaborate with dispatch and customer service to optimize technician schedules and job
flow
Handle escalated customer issues and review estimates, invoices, and technician
recommendations for accuracy
Track departmental KPIs and monitor job costing, labor utilization, and profitability
Prepare reports, forecasts, and recommendations for leadership review

Qualifications
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred
Experience
5+ years of HVAC service experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management
role
EPA Section 608 certification preferred; NATE certification preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and repair practices
Proven leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar field/service management software preferred
Physical Demands and Conditions
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces during
field support
Work Environment/Travel
Frequent field visits and technician ride-alongs with limited office time
May require evenings, weekends, or overtime to meet customer and operational demands
