About the Employer
The Westerner has been serving customers since the 1960s and is known for loyal customers, experienced staff, and high-quality food and service. The kitchen has recently been remodeled, and the team is hiring motivated kitchen staff of all experience levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Line cook using grills, fryers, ovens, and BBQ smoker
- Set up and maintain hot and cold food stations
- Plate and garnish food according to quality standards
- Prepare and prep food items
- Receive, verify, and stock food deliveries
- Assist with inventory and food orders as needed
- Run food to customers when necessary
- Maintain organization, sanitation, and Salt Lake Health Department standards
- Complete daily cleaning tasks including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and box disposal
- Work efficiently and remain calm during busy service periods

Additional Requirements
- Must have a Salt Lake County Food Handler's Permit
- Must be 21 years-of-age or older
- Must be available to work holidays
- Must be available Friday and Saturday evenings
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
