About this role

Join Severin Safari Camp, a luxury safari camp inside Tsavo West National Park, Kenya, as our Waiter / Waitress.

In this role you serve guests with warmth and precision: tables are ready, orders are right, and every meal feels calm and personal. You work closely with the F&B team so restaurant, bar, and bush dining feel like one stay. This is a live-in role with rotational leave.

Tasks

* Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to a consistent luxury standard.
* Set up and keep your station ready: mise en place, presentation, and timing.
* Take and post orders accurately; handle billing with care.
* Anticipate guest needs and serve with genuine, professional hospitality.
* Honour dietary needs and special requests as briefed.
* Support bar service and bush dining when they are part of the guest programme.
* Handle guest requests and complaints quickly, professionally, and with follow-through.
* Protect stock, glassware, and a professional guest-facing atmosphere.
* Complete end-of-shift closing and reporting.

Requirements

* At least 2 years as a waiter / waitress in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, lodge, or safari camp.
* Strong food and beverage service skills, including wine and table service.
* Accurate, hygienic, well-groomed work on the floor.
* Fluent English, spoken and written.
* Willing to live in at camp, work rotating shifts (including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays), and follow a rotational leave pattern.
* Calm, guest-first, and reliable on standards and integrity.
