About this role

DevOps Engineer supporting and responsible for designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and standardizing CI/CD pipelines across multiple Windows-based applications and services. The role requires close collaboration with global teams across the US and China, ensuring compliance with enterprise build, packaging, signing, and release standards. Have strong hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, Windows application build systems, code signing processes, release automation, and debugging complex pipeline failures.
Key Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline Development & Maintenance
- Migrate and onboard existing projects to standardized enterprise CI/CD pipeline templates.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for Windows applications and services.
- Configure automated build, validation, testing, packaging, signing, and release workflows.
- Ensure pipelines follow organizational DevOps standards and best practices.
Pipeline Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
- Analyze pipeline failures across build, packaging, signing, deployment, and testing stages.
- Review build logs and diagnose issues impacting release delivery.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Work closely with development teams to resolve CI/CD bottlenecks.
Secure Code Signing & Release Compliance
- Configure and maintain HP Secure Sign (HPSS) code signing processes.
- Troubleshoot signing failures and validation issues.
- Manage signing configurations, signing policies, filter patterns, and validation parameters.
- Ensure release artifacts comply with enterprise security requirements.
Windows Build & Packaging Support
- Support x64 and ARM64 application builds.
- Configure MSIX packaging and deployment workflows.
- Maintain bundle generation, release artifact management, and versioning processes.
- Optimize build performance and reliability.
DevOps Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate manual engineering and release activities.
- Develop reusable pipeline templates and deployment frameworks.
- Improve monitoring, observability, and reporting for CI/CD processes.
- Enhance pipeline efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Global Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and program stakeholders across US, China, and India.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and release planning activities.
- Drive alignment with enterprise engineering and release management standards.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Document pipeline configurations, implementation approaches, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
- Create knowledge base articles and operational runbooks.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of team members on CI/CD standards and tooling.
Required Skills Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines .
- Hands-on experience with YAML-based pipeline development .
- Experience in CI/CD implementation and release automation .
- Knowledge of Windows application build processes .
- Experience with MSIX packaging and deployment .
- Understanding of code signing frameworks and certificate management .
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Azure Repos .
- Experience working with PowerShell scripting .
- Knowledge of x64 and ARM64 build environments .
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise software release processes.
- Exposure to security and compliance requirements in software delivery.
- Experience supporting multi-repository and multi-team DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with Windows client applications and services.
- Knowledge of build artifact management and release governance.
