About this role

Your Responsibilities:

- FMEA moderation: Lead and document Design‑ and Process‑FMEAs; ensure compliance with DIN EN 62061 and AIAG‑VDA standards

- Introduction of D‑FMEA: Build and establish a company‑wide Design‑FMEA methodology (D‑FMEA) – create guidelines, templates, training material, accompany the first projects and continuously optimize the approach

- Interface coordination: Align requirements and actions between Development, Production, Quality related departments etc

- Project support: Participate in project kick‑offs, progress‑ and risk reports; perform basic project‑management tasks (schedule and resource tracking)

- Team facilitation: Moderate workshops and review meetings; foster constructive collaboration in an international, multicultural environment

- Software management: Use the FMEA software APIS (creation, analysis, reporting) together with standard office tools (MS Office, Power BI, Jira)

- Knowledge transfer: Train and coach colleagues on FMEA methodology and best‑practice approaches

- Technical analysis: Assess failure modes while taking electrical and mechanical fundamentals into account

Your Profile:

- Degree in Engineering (e.g. Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical) or comparable (Alternatively: Technician with proven professional experience in D‑FMEA moderation)

- Language skills: German (fluent, business‑proficient) and English (fluent, business‑proficient) – spoken and written

- Minimum 2 years as a moderator/analyst in a product‑development company

- Hands‑on experience (or strong interest) in building and scaling a Design‑FMEA methodology

- Confident use of APIS (ideally certified) and common office applications or comparable knowledge

- Experience in leading interdisciplinary workshops and international teams

- Enjoy working in multicultural teams

- Basic knowledge of project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI)

- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering (schematics, circuits) and mechanics (design principles, materials)

- Ability to break down complex systems structurally and assess risks

- Proactive, solution‑oriented work style and strong self‑organization

- Desirable – certification: FMEA moderator certification (e.g., VDA‑FMEA training)

- Desirable – additional quality tools: Experience with 8D reports, Ishikawa diagrams, Fault‑Tree Analysis (FTA)

- Desirable – agile methods: Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban or similar agile frameworks
