About this role
The ‘Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering’ division at Fraunhofer ITWM focuses on the development and validation of modelling and simulation technology for the virtual product development of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and construction and agricultural machinery. To strengthen our team , we are looking for motivated, committed students who would like to contribute to the field of determining the mechanical parameters of cables and cable harnesses.
Be part of change
- Production and preparation of test specimens: Fabricating and preparing cable specimens for measurement (e.g. cables/cable harnesses)
- Carrying out mechanical measurements: Measuring the effective stiffness of cables to replicate their real mechanical properties
- Documentation and evaluation of measurements: Careful record-keeping and analysis of measurement results in the context of the development of simulation methods and software
