The Facilities Mechanic supports a multi-building pharmaceutical packaging facility / cGMP environment in Allentown, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain warehouse and production buildings including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire life safety systems, doors, elevators and building envelope .
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document work in CMMS.
- Guide vendors and obtain quotations for maintenance and replacement projects.
- Conduct inspections, rounds and readings; respond to BAS alarms.
- Support facilities projects, GMP/GDP compliance, capital planning and operational improvements.
- Work extended hours as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
- Identify code, safety, energy efficiency and sustainability compliance gaps.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of facilities mechanic or MEP trade experience required .
- Biopharma cGMP experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with BAS controls preferred.
- Strong HVAC, analytical, technical, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with CMMS, QMS and Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification and/or licensure in one or more trades preferred.
