We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our Gilbert office on a part-time basis.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to work from one dedicated office location.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures
- Take digital X-rays, impressions, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
- Follow OSHA, infection-control, and sterilization standards
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed by the orthodontist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and the proper care of braces, aligners, and other appliances
- Accurately document treatment notes and patient progress
- Help maintain inventory and an organized, efficient clinical area
- Provide an exceptional patient experience from start to finish
Qualifications
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience is required
- Current Arizona dental assisting credentials preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
- Commitment to providing outstanding patient care
