Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all phases of power plant project from conceptual development through completion, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and permitting requirements.

- Serve as the primary liaison between the owner and various stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

- Lead project planning and scheduling, focusing on aligning resources and timelines to meet project milestones and objectives

- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, providing regular reports and recommendations to the owner.

- Deve lop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines to ensure timely completion of construction activities.

- Implement quality control measures to uphold project standards and specifications, conduct site inspections and address any deviations from plans.

- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.

- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring terms align with project goals and objectives .

- Facilitate clear and effective communication among project team members, resolving conflicts and promoting collaboration to achieve project success.

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and change orders, to support project transparency and accountability.

- Oversee procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that all materials and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner.

- Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and regulatory teams to ensure all project components adhere to industry standards and requirements.

- Supervise construction activities, ensuring that they are carried out safely, efficiently, and within budget.

- Conduct site inspections and regular project meetings to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.

- Engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utility partners, and data center management, providing regular project updates and ensuring alignment of goals.

- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and permitting files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Mentor and lead project team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, e ngineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus .   Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree .

- 10-15 years of experience in the utility sector, with a strong emphasis on power generation.

- 8 -12 years of demonstrated experience in the development, permitting, procurement, and construction power plants , preferably reciprocating internal combustion engines or simple cycle gas turbines .

- At least 8 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, demonstrating leadership of cross-functional teams and complex capital projects .

- Proven experience in construction project management, with a focus on EPC experience.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.

- In-depth knowledge of utility regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards applicable to power plant construction.

- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, effective in managing diverse teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera , Excel ).

Preferred Qualifications:

- PE, PMP or PMI-SCP equivalent certification is highly desirable.

- Experience with renewable generation and battery energy storage systems in addition to gas-fired generation is a plus.

- Familiarity with utility interconnections procedures .
