Job Description

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of projects within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring project teams remain aligned, informed, and on schedule throughout the product development and production lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an engineer with experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations who is interested in expanding into project management. This position works closely with engineering, operations, procurement, quality, and manufacturing teams to support project delivery and business objectives. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate project activities, maintain schedules, and track progress to support successful project execution and on-time delivery.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute project documentation, reports, and status updates in accordance with established project management processes.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, trackers, and performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, operations, procurement, and quality to gather updates and ensure accurate project reporting.
- Support the documentation and tracking of project scope, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and milestones.
- Identify, document, and monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies while escalating concerns when appropriate.
- Track action items and key deliverables, ensuring accountability and timely completion by project team members.
- Develop and maintain project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and follow up on assigned actions.
- Maintain organized project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide administrative, coordination, and reporting support to project and operational teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Must Have

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or engineered product environment.
- Experience supporting or leading cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Experience with project scheduling, tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have

- PMP certification or progress toward certification.
- Experience within highly technical engineering, industrial, manufacturing, energy, transportation, automation, or technology sectors.
- Exposure to procurement, fabrication, assembly, commissioning, or product delivery activities.
- Experience supporting capital equipment, engineered systems, or complex product development projects.
- Familiarity with project budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Experience developing project dashboards and performance reporting tools.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, BC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.36/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Vancouver,BC.
