Purpose: Independently perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment. Candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic while completing tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Customer service and communication skills are required. The Ag Equipment Service Technician may be asked to clearly explain to a customer, in a courteous and effective manner, aspects of work being performed.

Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere and other brands of ag equipment and technology, sometimes in the field

- Perform setup and pre-delivery preparation of new equipment

- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere products and competitive products

- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion

- Complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- 2 years experience performing service repairs on large agricultural or relatable heavy equipment

- Work history of consistently meeting performance metrics

- Ability to follow Technical Manual procedures

- Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in agricultural, off road, construction or other heavy equipment

- High School diploma or equivalent experience required . . . Associate Degree preferred

- Must have an adequate toolset/toolbox to perform job responsibilities
