Expertise and Functions
- Participate in personnel recruiting, employee retention and manpower management
- Provide engineer assessment and feedback through employee evaluations, formal and informal counselings, merit increases, and promotions
- Support personnel career growth to include alignment of individual goals to organizational goals and corresponding employee training/mentoring
- Provide effective mentoring and guidance to fellow engineers to ensure effective results
- Ensure a diverse and inclusive culture of respect and trust
- Engage with program, engineering and production customers
- Support team growth through opportunity identification and business development support as required
- Work through Program Managers and IPT leaders to achieve optimum program/functional cost/technical/schedule execution by assigning resources as required
- Direct utilization of Subject Matter Experts as necessary
- Resolve programmatic and functional issues
- Manage overhead expenses
- Support process development, deployment and process improvement
- Participate in the definition, collection and analysis of organizational metrics for continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
- Master’s Degree in a related field preferred
- Additional direct experience required without degree
Experience:
- Current KIHOMAC employees with positions in Engineering or Analysis are encouraged to apply
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
