The Role

Entegris is currently seeking a Lead Analytical Scientist to join our Materials Solutions R&D team. This position will be based in our Ansan (KTC), South Korea facility.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for the R&D analytical laboratories supporting Entegris' Materials Solutions business. You will oversee analytical operations, instrumentation strategy, laboratory excellence initiatives, and the development of scientific talent while collaborating closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, commercial teams, and global technical partners. You will drive analytical innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement to support product development, quality, and customer success.

What You'll Do

- Provide analytical innovation and technical leadership for the KTC R&D analytical laboratories.

- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop scientists and technicians to achieve technical excellence, career growth, and high team performance.

- Drive a strong culture of safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability across laboratory operations.

- Develop and implement analytical methods, training programs, laboratory procedures, and best practices to ensure robust and consistent analytical capabilities.

- Lead cross-functional investigations and analytical troubleshooting efforts to   determine   root causes of product development, process, and quality challenges.

- Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve technical issues and improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

- Own change management activities related to analytical methods, instrumentation, and laboratory processes.

- Ensure laboratory instrumentation is properly   maintained , controlled, qualified, and   utilized   to generate   accurate   and reliable data.

- Analyze complex analytical data, prepare technical reports and presentations, and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.

- Evaluate emerging analytical technologies and benchmark external capabilities to support continuous improvement and future business needs.

What We Seek

- Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline   required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Significant experience in analytical chemistry,   materials   characterization, semiconductor materials, or related technology fields.

- Demonstrated experience leading analytical laboratories, technical projects, and cross-functional scientific initiatives.

- Strong   expertise   in analytical techniques such as HPLC, IC, GC, ICP-MS, FTIR, and related characterization tools.

- Strong understanding of analytical method development, validation, troubleshooting, and data integrity principles.

- Experience with statistical analysis, trend analysis, laboratory performance metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.

- Ability to safely work in laboratory environments and   comply with   chemical handling and safety requirements.

- Ability to work effectively in a global environment and collaborate across regions and functions.

- Ability and willingness to travel   approximately 10%   to 20%, including international travel.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have

- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or   a related   discipline.

- Experience supporting semiconductor materials, advanced deposition materials, specialty chemicals, or blended clean   chemistries.

- Experience implementing laboratory standardization initiatives across multiple facilities or regions.

- Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization, and laboratory informatics tools.

- Proven success leading change management, training, and laboratory transformation programs.

- Experience working directly with customers to resolve technical issues and support product commercialization efforts.
