About this role

Objective: Support the Billing Manager and Director of Corporate Operations by completing medical billing processes under value-based care and fee-for-service contracts.

‍ About You: You are an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for operational efficiency and teamwork. Ideally, you have several years of experience in medical coding and billing with additional experience in value-based care models. Your proactive mindset, adaptability, and excellent communication skills make you a key contributor to successful billing execution.

Responsibilities:

- Complete billing uploads in EHR systems based on exported reporting

- Cross-reference member lists through EHR systems and payor portals to complete eligibility assessments

- Maintain a high level of data integrity through meticulous notetaking and error-free data entry across multiple systems and platforms

- Differentiate value-based and fee-for-service claims based on context of payor agreements

- Prepare reporting for billing and operations teams on an as-needed basis

- Review provider documentation to ensure coding accuracy

Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of experience minimum in medical billing, including at least one year experience in Medicaid billing

- Proficiency with

- A variety of EHR systems (e.g. Tebra, athenaOne, eCW)

- Microsoft Office and Adobe tools (e.g. Excel, Word, Acrobat)

- Google Suite (e.g. Sheets, Docs)

- Proactivity in assessing missing data from payor portals and ability to bridge data gaps

- High level of integrity and attention to detail; adaptability to learning various state guidelines

- Desire to work collaboratively with medical, tech, and operations teams

- Openness to, and willingness to provide, constructive feedback to improve operational processes

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with Texas-specific payors and billing guidelines

- Experience working with healthcare technology organizations

- Experience working with value-based care contracts

- Experience in maternal, nutritional, and/or behavioral health fields

Time Commitment : 15-20 hours per week, variable

Compensation: $24-32 per hour
