Your role:

- Administration, maintenance, and expansion of IT infrastructure, especially in Linux and HPC
- Involvement in installation, configuration, backup, monitoring, as well as update and patch management of servers
- Planning, design, development, conceptualization, and operation of Linux systems and cluster solutions on virtual, physical, and containerized server landscapes
- Monitoring, optimization, and expansion of security measures
- Automation of IT workflows
- Documentation, service requests/incidents, change management, and technical-level communication with customers
- Active participation in IT projects during planning, implementation, and rollout, and advisory support to specialist departments
- Ensure 7x24 operations as part of on-call duty

Your profile:

- A successfully completed IT-related degree or an apprenticeship as IT specialist for system integration with additional qualification such as IT clerk or Bachelor Professional
- At least 5 years of professional experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Linux systems
- Excellent knowledge of Linux, Active Directory / Kerberos, NFSv4, Ansible automation; ideally SLURM, Apptainer, and Orchestrator (Orcharhino)
- Good knowledge of networked and virtualized systems with VMware
- High self-motivation, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate actively in a team
- Willingness to align working hours with operational requirements
- Very good German and English skills
