About this role

What's it all about?

At Gridfuse, we believe the future of energy should be decentralized and renewable; and we’re building the infrastructure to make that happen.

The grid still depends on fossil fuels, not because we lack renewable energy, but because we lack the systems to integrate it reliably. Our mission is to shift that balance through technology: by building intelligent, decentralized power pools that respond to volatility in real time.

It takes a unique team to meet this vision. You will join our Operations team in our Headquarters in Leipzig , which is responsible for integration of our assets and troubleshooting in case of connection issues.

Your impact

As a Senior Technical Operator at Gridfuse, you will bring new renewable energy assets onto our platform and keep them running reliably.

Your work determines how quickly wind farms, solar parks and batteries can start participating in the electricity system and how dependably they deliver ancillary services to the grid.

You will own the connection process end to end, work closely across all teams at Gridfuse to turn complex technical and regulatory requirements into delivery.

The role

Connecting Assets & Support : Own the process of connecting new renewable energy assets (wind farms, solar parks, etc.) to the Gridfuse platform and resolving issues related to asset connectivity

Stakeholder Management : Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders (from Sales to Technical personnel) to explain and pitch our ancillary services products, such as the mFRR and aFRR

Process Ownership : Coordinate and track specific mFRR projects, including setting up operative processes (e.g., for aFRR, encompassing monitoring and alerting) - This involves collaboration with Developers and detailed documentation for TechOps

Installation & Documentation : Coordinate the installation of required hardware boxes and create comprehensive manuals detailing the installation process

Network Configuration: Collaborate with our Network Engineers to configure and maintain our robust, compliant, and secure network infrastructure, including VPN setup

Technical Documentation : Develop specific delivery concepts and technical documentation required for Transmission System Operators (TSOs)

What we need from you

Familiarity with protocols : Good grasp of common SCADA protocols (IEC104, OPC, Modbus).

Data Analysis skills : Experience of data refinement and generation of reports in Excel are beneficial

Renewable Energy Experience : Ideally, you have experience performing control and performance tests on wind turbines from major manufacturers (e.g. Enercon, Vestas)

SCADA Expertise : Experience with various SCADA systems (e.g., PSIprins, PSIcontrol, Enercon SCADA, Siemens WinCC, ABB AVEVA, or similar) is essential

Language : Excellent communication skills in English and German are required – you will interact daily with internal and external stakeholders

Educational Background : A degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics or a comparable technical background are beneficial

Ownership & Initiative : You like to take ownership and are happy to work in a fast-paced environment
