Role Overview
Functional Tester to support a legacy Warehouse Management System (WMS) with no vendor support. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and hands-on validation of backend data in an Oracle environment.
Key Responsibilities -
- • Work closely with NPL Functional Owner to understand business workflows and validate system behavior
- • Capture, document, and execute test cases covering end-to-end WMS processes
- • Perform data validation and verification by accessing Oracle database tables
- • Execute functional, regression, and integration testing
- • Identify, log, track, and retest defects
- • Validate system behavior during Windows Server upgrade (2016 → 2019) across multiple sites
- • Support testing cycles for 5 NPL locations including Werne and Holzwekide.
Required Skills
- • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation
- • Experience in test case design, execution, and defect tracking tools
- • Strong experience in Functional Testing (manual testing preferred)Basic working knowledge of C++-based applications (read/understand logic)
- • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases (querying tables, data validation)
Good to Have
- • Experience with legacy WMS systems
- • Familiarity with server upgrade testing scenarios
- • Understanding of supply chain/logistics processes
