Project Estimator

Job Title: Project Estimator - position is remote but you MUST live in Michigan Job Description We are seeking a Project Estimator to join our team on a contract-to-direct basis. This position involves developing and reviewing capital, construction, and service cost estimates across various market sectors, primarily focusing on the power/utility industry. Responsibilities

- Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates.
- Work on estimates for planning, evaluation/study, or proposal comparison purposes.
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications for cost estimates.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters.
- Coordinate with design and construction staff to gather estimate scope and schedule data.
- Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of General Contracting, EPC construction methods, and industry practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cost estimating/project control software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Certifications such as AEP, CCT, CEP, CACM, CMIT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, EIT.
- Proficiency in estimating software like Sage, Assemble, RS Means.
- Experience in the construction industry, particularly in Waste, Power, or Industrial sectors.
- Ability to interpret construction schedules.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $82.11/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
