About this role

Continuous Improvement Engineer Seeking entry-level Continuous Improvement Engineers to support a new distribution and logistics operation. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates interested in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and operational excellence within a warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Identify process inefficiencies and production bottlenecks.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze operational data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with operations teams to improve workflows and productivity.
- Support Lean initiatives including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Kanban.
- Develop SOPs, process documentation, and improvement plans.
- Monitor KPIs and measure improvement effectiveness.
- Participate in cross-functional process optimization projects.
- Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to support operations.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience:

- Internships, co-ops, or projects involving Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Warehouse Operations.
- Exposure to Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, PDCA, 5S, Kanban, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).

This is a Contract position based out of Merrillville, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
