About this role
Our semi-truck service dealership is looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Cleanup Associate to keep our service facility and grounds clean, safe, and organized. You will play a vital role in keeping our shop operations running smoothly by maintaining a clear, hazard-free environment for our diesel technicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Shop Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and degrease shop floors; clear oil spills and debris from work bays.
- Trash & Waste Disposal: Empty shop trash cans, scrap bins, and recycling daily; safely dispose of shop rags and waste fluids per dealership safety guidelines.
- Yard Cleanup: Walk the dealership yard to pick up debris, clear trash around staging areas, and keep parking/staging areas tidy.
- Tool & Equipment Care: Put away shared shop tools, maintain cleanup equipment (sweepers, pressure washers), and restock bay supplies (towels, floor dry, soap).
- Facility Support: Keep technician break rooms, restrooms, and main walkways clean and clutter-free; assist service managers with basic facility tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and standard shop tools.
- Knowledge of basic safety practices (PPE, hazardous materials handling) is a plus.
