Summary:

Performs a variety of functions in the assembly of company products, including parts cleaning, bagging, boxing, assembly, testing, crating, and shipping.

Primary Function:

- Gathers parts required to assemble.

- Inspects parts for paint quality.

- Assembles products, using hand tools and overhead hoists.

- Test or assist in testing operation of completed product.

- Crates products.

- Other duties as assigned.

Wage is commensurate with experience: Professional manufacturing work environment, with job training and opportunities for advancement.

- 4 level pay grade scale

- Shift differential for 2 nd and 3 rd shifts

- Performance based wage reviews yearly

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

- Ability to work well under pressure. Must be able to read and comprehend both oral and written instructions.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished.

- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and use measuring devices.

- Physical dexterity to assemble parts.

- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

- Must own basic assembly tools to complete defined tasks.

- Good attendance is a must and safety are a priority.

- Must be able to work overtime and have weekend availability.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED is highly recommended.

- 0-1 years of experience in an assembly work environment or related field

- Effectively work with minimum supervision after training.

- Demonstrate willingness to work in a team environment.

- Effectively meet production goals within established time guidelines.

- Operation of machinery and tools requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to steel toe shoes/boots with metatarsal guards permanently attached, hearing protections, gloves, and safety glasses. Personal protective equipment allowance provided by company upon meeting eligibility requirements.

Preferred Skills:

- Prior mechanical assembly experience

- Ability to work well under pressure. Must be able to understand and adhere to both written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Must be able to meet, with or without reasonable accommodation, the physical requirements associated with the essential functions of this position.

- Must regularly be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25-50 pounds.

- Highly active position that requires standing, walking, and bending all day.

- Regularly required to stand; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

- Must be comfortable with heights.

- Facility is not climate controlled. Excessive heat and cold are factors.

- Regularly exposed to loud noise and dust.

Drug screen and Physical Capacity Profile test is required. Safety and attendance are a priority.
