Department : Branch Operations

Status : Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Schedule : Monday - Friday, daytime shifts plus rotating Saturday mornings

A CSR provides front-line customer service and supports daily branch operations by processing transactions, assisting with account servicing, and resolving routine customer inquiries. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and a positive customer experience while supporting team members and maintaining strong operational controls.

Primary Duties:

- Deliver prompt, professional customer service by handling in-person and phone inquiries, identifying needs, and providing accurate information or referrals

- Process routine financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashiers checks, and night deposits with a high degree of accuracy

- Perform account servicing activities such as basic account opening/closing, maintenance requests, and digital banking support (e.g., password resets, bill pay assistance)

- Maintain cash controls by balancing teller drawers, processing vault transactions, monitoring cash limits, and identifying counterfeit currency

- Support branch operations by processing mail transactions, completing logs and reports (e.g., CTRs, cashiers checks), and assisting with wire preparation and document processing

- Assist with ATM and safe deposit box operations, including balancing, replenishment, customer access, and basic maintenance coordination

- Educate customers on bank products and services and identify opportunities to refer or cross-sell appropriate solutions

- Support team effectiveness by assisting with training or answering questions for less experienced staff

- Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, and report suspicious activity

- Complete training required by management

- Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch operations

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- 1+ year of customer service, cash handling, or banking experience preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach

- Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing and recordkeeping

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Basic proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn banking software

- Demonstrates integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
