Description
City Garden Montessori is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support our teaching staff in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for our students. This role involves working closely with teachers to assist in classroom management and student engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and instruction.
- Support students in individual or small group settings to reinforce learning concepts.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Help in preparing educational materials and organizing classroom resources.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
- Patience and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment.
