SCI, an American based manufacturing company that specializes in providing high-performance furniture to the restaurant and food service industry is hiring a 2nd shift (4:00pm – 12:30am) Shipping & Powder Coating Supervisor.

This position is primarily responsible for the overall supervision of production employees and ownership of our 2nd shift Paint/Powder Coating, Metals, and Shipping Departments and will provide leadership for safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and company values while promoting positive employee relations within the production team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

- Set goals for production and ensure the production schedules are adhered to.

- Assign work to ensure parts and assemblies are produced and shipped efficiently, on time, within budget, and to specifications.

- Guide and train employees to ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.

- Monitor employee productivity, performance, timekeeping and personnel records and provide constructive feedback, coaching and problem solving.

- Plan and coordinate routine maintenance of equipment.

- Manage and assist with the preparation of parts for powder coating applications. As well as the loading and unloading of parts from the coating/paint line and assist when needed.

- Monitor the paint application process to ensure consistent and even coating of products and make necessary adjustments.

- Provide inventory management and adjustments within Epicor.

- Ensure equipment is functioning properly.

- Manage all product components (trim, hardware, drops etc.) and finished products to ensure product packaging and shipments are complete as per SCI standards.

- Determine space requirements (sq. footage) needed to ship order complete.

- Management of the rejection of carriers trailers to due damaged trailers, spillage, foul/strong odors in container, hazardous loading conditions, etc.

- All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or higher and 2- 4 years of related manufacturing experience in shipping/receiving, metal working, or powder coating.

- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

- General knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting/coating/metals equipment, proper cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.
