What You'll Do

1. Maintenance Leadership & Execution

- Plan, lead, and oversee all maintenance operations within the facility.

- Assign and coordinate daily maintenance activities across 1st and 2nd shifts.

- Serve as on-call maintenance leader for emergency repairs.

- Oversee maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, fabrication machinery, welding systems, material handling equipment, and custom-built production assets.

2. Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

- Drive transformation from reactive maintenance to structured preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime.

- Track and improve key metrics such as PM completion rate, downtime, and mean time to repair (MTTR).

3. Team Leadership & Labor Management

- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.

- Provide clear direction, set expectations, and reinforce accountability.

- Support employee development through training and skills enhancement.

- Partner effectively with employees while upholding company standards and performance expectations.

4. Production Partnership & Operational Alignment

- Collaborate with Production Supervisors and plant leadership to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.

- Align maintenance activities with production schedules and plant priorities.

- Support manufacturing operations to ensure the timely production of telecom structures and components.

5. Safety & Regulatory Compliance

- Implement and enforce safety policies in accordance with OSHA, environmental, and company standards.

- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

- Maintain required logs and documentation for cranes, forklifts, welding equipment, and mobile equipment.

- Support safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices across the team.

6. Technical Oversight & Problem Solving

- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

- Guide complex repairs and ensure quality execution of maintenance work.

- Support automation and equipment improvement initiatives where applicable.

7. Planning, Budgeting & Resource Management

- Monitor and control maintenance costs, staffing, and operating expenses within budget.

- Requisition tools, parts, and materials to support efficient maintenance operations.

- Manage spare parts inventories to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.

8. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

- Track, report, and communicate maintenance KPIs and performance trends.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and reliability improvement.

- Contribute to plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

9. Administrative

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

- Technical degree or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience.

- Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Demonstrated leadership experience within a skilled trades or maintenance function.

- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment and maintenance best practices.

- Experience with fabrication equipment, welding systems, hydraulic systems, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment preferred.

- Working knowledge of PLCs, mechanical/electrical diagnostics, and maintenance systems.

- Familiarity with CMMS or PM software (Oracle experience a plus).

- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.

- Willingness and ability to be on call 24/7 for emergency situations.

Work Environment

- Manufacturing and outdoor yard environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, welding operations, and moving machinery.

- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.).

- Exposure to outdoor conditions while supporting yard operations, cranes, material handling equipment, and structural fabrication processes.
