Summary

The Custodial Worker is responsible for ensuring that all assigned areas of a property are kept clean and meet the company’s established standard of care. Crawford Hoying is dedicated to exceptional customer service, and this employee is expected to use customer service as a guiding principle when interacting with residents, visitors, and coworkers, and when handling challenging situations.

Job Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)

- Clean designated areas as directed by the lead custodial worker
- Vacuum carpeted areas in hallways and common areas
- Mop and clean tile in common areas
- Empty trash in designated areas
- Clean glass surfaces, windows, and doors, as directed
- Wipe and disinfect surfaces, as directed
- Clean amenity areas with strict attention to detail
- Clean resident rooms, as needed, including flooring, furniture, kitchens/kitchenettes, and bathroom tubs, showers, and toilet areas
- Restock disposables (soap, paper products, etc.)
- Promptly notify the Facilities Manager of any areas in need of immediate repair
- Safely dispose of cleaning solutions
- Complete additional tasks during seasonal turnover
- Perform related duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience

- 1-3 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience
- Knowledge of how to use cleaning equipment and cleansers
- A patient, confident, and courteous nature
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 per hour
