Job Description
As a Fixed Income ETF Strategist, you will support ETF product development, positioning, and commercialization across APAC. Working cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, and Distribution teams, you will help execute go-to-market strategies, deliver compelling product narratives, and provide market and competitive insights to support the growth of Invesco's ETF business.
Key Responsibilities / Duties :
- Deliver ETF analytics and investment insights in fixed income and active strategies, supporting product positioning, client engagement, and commercial opportunities across APAC.
- Develop high-quality ETF content and thought leadership, including presentations, market commentary, product updates, performance analytics, and educational materials for internal and external audiences.
- Support Fixed Income ETF product strategy and commercialization through product positioning, go-to-market execution, product prioritization, and shelf optimization to meet evolving client and market needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Product Development, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Distribution, Legal, and Compliance to deliver effective, compliant, and commercially focused ETF solutions and communications.
- Conduct market, competitive, and regulatory analysis to identify growth opportunities, support product innovation, and ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements across APAC markets.
- Drive client engagement, product advocacy, and operational excellence by serving as an ETF subject matter expert, representing Invesco at client and industry events, and leveraging analytical tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Excel/VBA, Power BI, Python) to enhance insights, automate processes, and improve efficiency.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 8+ relevant years of experience in fixed income research in either a portfolio management, trading, product structuring role or specialist fixed income sales capacity
- Strong ETF and/or index product expertise, supported by relevant industry experience and a solid understanding of ETF market dynamics, product structures, commercialization strategies, and regulatory frameworks across APAC.
- Proven ability to analyze and position investment solutions for fixed income investment for diverse client segments
- Demonstrated quantitative expertise in index methodologies, performance attribution, portfolio analytics, statistical techniques, and the interpretation of large datasets to generate investment insights and support business decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in analytical and technology tools, including Excel, SQL, VBA, Python, Power BI, Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and other data visualization and portfolio analytics platforms.
- Proven experience developing ETF product positioning, thought leadership, and client-facing content across active and passive investment strategies, translating complex investment concepts into compelling product narratives.
- Strong commercial acumen and client focus, with experience partnering with distribution teams, conducting market and competitor analysis, and identifying opportunities to drive ETF growth and innovation across client segments and asset classes.
- Experience supporting ETF product commercialization, go-to-market execution, and product shelf optimization through close partnership with distribution, marketing, and product development teams.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, including index methodologies, performance attribution, portfolio analytics, statistical techniques, and the interpretation of large datasets to generate investment insights and support business decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in analytical and technology tools, including Excel, SQL, VBA, Python, Power BI, Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and other data visualization and portfolio analytics platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to present complex ETF, portfolio, and market insights clearly and confidently to clients, distribution teams, and industry audiences.
- Commercially minded and client-centric team player, capable of building strong cross-functional partnerships and translating quantitative analysis into compelling product positioning, client communications, and business opportunities.
- Collaborative and influential team player, capable of building strong partnerships across Product, Portfolio Management, Distribution, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance functions.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Formal Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitatively rigorous discipline. CFA designation or progress toward CFA qualification is preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
- HK SFC Type 1 License or equivalent
Working Conditions:
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
