CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Good Pay + Bonus | Home Daily
Enjoy home-daily routes , a consistent Sunday-Thursday schedule, and good pay plus a bonus on a local intermodal account. Drivers service local customers and CSX railyards with 2-5 loads per day , depending on the length of haul.
Pay Details
$86,400 per year
- Average Weekly Pay: $1,700
- $10,000 Bonus
- $200/day during ramp training after onboarding
- Medical coverage available after 30 days
- Holiday pay eligible after 90 days
- 18 paid days off initially, including 12 PTO days and 6 holidays
- PTO increases with tenure
Job Details
- Service local customers with daily start and return to the Chambersburg terminal
- No NYC
- Priority loading and unloading at CSX railyards
- 2-5 loads per day , depending on length of haul
- Four railyards: Chambersburg, two in Harrisburg, and Baltimore
- Drivers will slip-seat
- Both manual and automatic trucks available
- Average truck age is approximately 2 years
Shift Details
- Sunday-Thursday
- Start time: 1:00 PM
- Approximately 10-11 hour workdays
- Ramp operates 24/7 , depending on holidays
- Home Daily
- Non-smoking position
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- No SAP Drivers
- HAZMAT endorsement required within 90 days of hire
- HAZMAT Threat Assessment and fingerprinting costs reimbursed up to $60
- Receipts required for reimbursement
- Final reimbursement provided once the endorsement is on the physical CDL
Equipment & Training
- Manual and automatic trucks available
- Slip-seat operation
- Trucks remain at 900 Kriner Drive, Suite 3, Chambersburg, PA 17202 during time off
- Ramp training begins the day after onboarding
- Minimum 3 days with a trainer
- Four total days to complete on-site orientation
- $200/day during ramp training after onboarding
PTO & Holiday Pay
- 18 paid days off: 12 PTO + 6 holidays
- After 1-5 years: 22 paid days off
- 6-13 years: 27 paid days off
- 14-18 years: 30 paid days off
- 19+ years: 32 paid days off
- Holiday pay eligible after 90 days
Holiday Schedule
- Thanksgiving: Could work
