Enjoy home-daily routes, a consistent Friday-Tuesday schedule, and good pay plus a bonus. Haul rail-container freight throughout Southern California with no-touch freight and optional 6th-day work for extra income.
Pay Details
$83,000 Average Annual Pay
Average Weekly Pay: $1,600
- $5,000 Bonus
- $3/day increase after 1 year of service
- Additional $3/day yearly increases up to $36/day
- Hazmat loads: $30 per load
- Refrigerated loads: $35 per load
- 900 miles/week
Job Details
- Deliver rail-container freight from the South Gate ramp/terminal to customers throughout Southern California
- Occasional Central Valley deliveries, including Bakersfield, Lost Hills, Maricopa, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo
- Mix of drop/hook and live load/unload
- No-touch freight
- Pick up empty containers at receivers and return them to the South Gate ramp/terminal
- Optional 6th day for additional income
Shift Details
- Friday-Tuesday
- Start times: 2 PM-7 PM
- Average 10-12 hour days
- Home Daily
- Thanksgiving and Christmas are optional
- Smoking not allowed in trucks
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- No SAP Drivers
- Hazmat endorsement not required at hire
- Hazmat endorsement reimbursed if driver chooses to obtain it
Equipment & Training
- Automatic day cabs
- Slip seating required
- No equipment take-home
- Trucks remain at the terminal/ramp during time off
- No-touch intermodal operation
