What you'll do:
- Perform welding duties using a wire/gas welder
- Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified in drawings, work orders or verbal instructions
- Operates machinery, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, drawings or work orders
- Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other jobs as needed
- Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment and notifying supervisor if any equipment needs repairs
- Willing and able to work on heavy equipment
What you'll need:
- Welding certification required
- Some experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Must be 18 years of age
Working Conditions:
- Works outdoors in all climates.
- Exposed to loud noise, dusty environment.
- Able to climb and work 80 feet or higher, and to stoop, bend or kneel in the review and inspection of plant operations and equipment.
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Full mobility of hands
- Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, leather work shoes, hearing protectors, respirator, gloves and other safety equipment that may be required for the project.
