We have an exciting opportunity for a  Plant Process Automation Technician  at our Crop Protection manufacturing facility in Harbor Beach, MI . In this role, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations through microbiological and analytical testing, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and safe production processes.

What You'll Do:

- Perform routine and non-routine microbiological and analytical testing to support production and product release.
- Generate and maintain production cultures, inoculum, and cryogenically stored microorganisms.
- Conduct contamination monitoring and microbiological assessments of production samples.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory equipment, including HPLC, GC, and related instrumentation.
- Analyze, interpret, document, and communicate laboratory data.
- Support investigations involving contamination events, customer complaints, quality deviations, and out-of-specification results.
- Maintain laboratory systems, records, and processes in compliance with quality, regulatory, and CAMS requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, EH&S, and R&D teams.

What Skills You Need:

- Associate degree in a science-related field with 4+ years of analytical or microbiology laboratory experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

- Experience with microbiology laboratory techniques and aseptic processing.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of LIMS systems and quality laboratory processes.
