Position Overview: The Shipping Specialist ensures the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, supervises shipping and packaging operations, and maintains the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role is critical to our mission of delivering essential equipment to those who protect our nation.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Monitor all shipping and packaging performance
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met
- Coordinate carrier pickups, manage dock operations, and resolve shipping issues promptly
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, carrier labels)
- Oversee inventory levels for shipping supplies and conduct regular reconciliations
- Enforce safety protocols and standard operating procedures within the shipping department
- Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, damages, or delays
- Train and coach shipping staff to maintain operational standards and efficiency
- Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma; a college degree in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
- Two to five years of warehouse or receiving experience, plus prior leadership experience.
- Hazmat Certified.
- Experience with international shipping and export compliance.
- Forklift Certification.
- Experience with commercial carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL)
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
Hourly Range: $20 to $35 plus overtime
The salary range represents the estimated base compensation for this role. The actual compensation will be determined based on a candidates education, experience, and skills.
