About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a well-planned production schedule to meet customer requirements and maximize machine efficiency.
- Utilize enterprise resource planning system to manage production data and maintain production work orders.
- Plan production for Make to Order and Make to Stock items respective of available capacity on associated equipment.
- Work closely with operations to understand machine capacity, collaborate on overtime as required, and effectively execute changeovers. Identify and resolve issues that may impact the production schedule.
- Work closely with operations to plan for downtime events such as holiday or maintenance.
- Verify material availability and coordinate with purchasing for incoming raw material deliveries. Update the production schedule as required.
- Balance priority of backorders with other planned production; produce updates with reason code for any overdue production work orders to leadership team.
- Inform relevant teams about any changes that may occur to the production schedule that could impact business priority or commitment to customer.
- Integrate R&D Trials into production schedule.
- Work with master schedulers on the execution of the master plan.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree or closely related equivalent preferred.
- Experience using an MRP/ERP system.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions. Exhibits "Go, See, Think, Do".
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Time management skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected issues.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel when required.
