About this role

Inventory Technician – Puretec Industrial Water

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Technician to join our warehouse team in San Jose. This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in keeping things organized and accurate, isn't afraid of physical work, and likes knowing that what they do each day keeps the rest of the operation running smoothly. You'll be responsible for tracking inventory, preparing shipments, inspecting incoming deliveries, and making pick-ups and deliveries to our customers and vendors, all while working closely with our Service Department to keep projects on track. If you've worked in a warehouse, in shipping and receiving, or in a similar hands-on logistics role and you're looking for steady, full-time work, this could be a great next step.

Puretec Industrial Water turns ordinary city water into highly purified water for industries across the Southwest, including power, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and manufacturing companies that depend on clean water to run their operations. We've been family owned since 1964, and we've stayed independent because we believe that's the way to keep the level of care our customers and employees deserve.

What you'll do:

- Keep warehouse inventory accurate and order supplies as needed

- Package and prepare products for shipment, comparing costs to find the most efficient delivery options

- Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, catching damage or shortages and following up with shippers

- Process defective parts for replacement or credit

- Make deliveries and pick-ups to customers and vendors

- Operate forklifts and lift trucks to move materials and load or unload trucks

- Keep the warehouse, dock, and storage areas clean and organized

- Handle chemical storage containers safely using proper PPE

- Support the Service Department with projects as needed

What you'll need:

- Driver's license, and a clean driving record

- Basic computer and technical skills

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

- At least one year of shipping and receiving experience preferred

- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, and comfort working outdoors in varying weather

What we offer:

- Medical, dental, and vision

- 401(k) plan

- Paid time off

- Paid wellness day, plus $100

- Paid family day, plus $100

- Paid birthday off

- Opportunities for advancement and growth
