About this role
The Hotel Groundskeeper will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel grounds and landscaping on a daily basis in order to achieve and provide a clean, comfortable, presentable and positive guest experience. The Groundskeeper will support general hotel maintenance and grounds keeping functions as directed.
Responsibilities:
- Clearing all trash, weeds, brush and debris from the hotel grounds on a daily and consistent basis.
- Responsible for watering all plants and flowers located on hotel grounds.
- Responsible for weeding, mulching and tree trimming whenever necessary or as directed. (This will require the use of equipment such as sheers, blade saw and other gardening tools.)
- Maintenance of plant life throughout the hotel.
- Sweeps or blows all hotel roadside entrances, walkways and hotel back areas.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid drivers license to operate a golf cart on property.
- Must be able to work with a crew in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience operating with essential equipment such as mowers, trimmers, utility carts, weed eaters, plows, lifts, etc.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Work well under pressure of organizing and attaining production schedules and timeliness.
- Follow directions thoroughly.
