About this role

As part of the Finance and Investments teams, primary responsibilities include performing ad hoc analyses using custom and off-the-shelf analytic tools, completing special projects/assignments as needed, underwriting acquisitions and dispositions for company-owned properties and preparing monthly and quarterly reports. This position will have a role in helping implement data visualization/business intelligence tools as well as support Strategy initiatives.

WORK PERFORMED:

- Assist Finance team with exploring new ways to view and use internal and external data sources to improve communication and advocate new ways to approach business challenges.

- Work with the Investments team to underwrite potential acquisitions and dispositions using both Argus and internal company forecasts.

- Assist Investments team in transaction processes from initial sourcing to closing and manage diligence material gathering/distribution

- Work with the Investments team in lease forecasting, lease analysis, and asset management and support for third-party managed assets

- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports as determined by the Director of Finance and Portfolio Analytics

- Reports could include:

Occupancy

- Division Monthly Financial Reviews

- Corporate Monthly Financial Reviews

- Preparing data for the Companys publicly released documents

- Ad Hoc analysis for analyst calls, board, division, and officer meetings

- Peer Overview and Analysis

- Market Research for Leasing and Investment Analysis

- Leasing Statistics and Analysis

- Impairment Analysis

- NAV modeling

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Skills/Knowledge):

- Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills

- Proficiency in the creation and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets

- Excellent time management, written, and oral communication skills

- Ability to prioritize deadlines and work independently

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Computer proficiency – MS Office and Global Software experience a plus

- Argus underwriting experience strongly preferred

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors degree in business, economics, finance or related field

- 3-5 years of experience in real estate and/or finance preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office setting; routinely uses technology tools such as computers and video conferencing equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular sitting, standing, and walking; may occasionally need to balance stoop, kneel or crouch and lift or move up to ten pounds.
