Role: Compliance AML Location: Mumbai Department: Compliance AML
Role Summary We are seeking an experienced professional to strengthen the AML and Compliance function, with hands-on experience in KYC/CDD reviews, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and financial crime risk management. The role will support the implementation of robust AML frameworks, regulatory compliance processes, and financial crime prevention controls in line with global regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform AML/KYC reviews including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
- Conduct transaction monitoring and investigation of suspicious activities to identify potential financial crime risks.
- Perform sanctions screening, PEP checks, and adverse media reviews in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and regulatory filings where applicable.
- Monitor compliance with AML/CFT regulations, internal policies, and global regulatory frameworks.
- Support regulatory audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews by maintaining proper documentation and evidence.
- Develop and enhance AML policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen AML controls and mitigate financial crime risks.
- Stay updated with regulatory guidelines from FATF, FIU-IND, RBI, SEBI, and other applicable regulators.
Required Experience
- 4–10 years of experience in AML Compliance, Financial Crime, KYC Operations, or Risk & Compliance.
- Experience in financial services, brokerage, banking, NBFCs, or consulting firms preferred.
- Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, AML investigations, and KYC reviews.
- Exposure to AML compliance tools or screening systems will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Law, or Business Administration.
- Certifications such as CAMS, ACAMS, NISM AML certification, or IIBF AML certification will be preferred.
