About this role

Essential Duties:

- Perform support, troubleshooting, performance monitoring/tuning for the data networks at all locations. This includes SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, VPN, VxLan, Wi-Fi networks

- Design and manage the installation/improvement of remote locations to organizational standards

- Provide recommendations for network improvements, optimization, and deployment plans.

- Perform implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network components to ensure maximum up time and optimal refresh intervals.

- Assist in telecommunication vendor management and serve as a point of contact for network failures.

- Implement network security best practices and work with security team to minimize vulnerabilities.

- Provide network documentation, training, and team guidance.

- Provide a strong background in cloud/virtual networking and able to optimize network configuration to allow cloud systems to scale.

- Serve as a secondary resource for the Windows infrastructure. This includes the ability to troubleshoot DNS and DHCP

Technical Skills

- Network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP

- Routing and Switching

- Virtualization Networking specifically within Nutanix and Azure environments.

- LAN/Wan Configuration and Management.

- A working knowledge of Advanced Windows Domain administration. This would include Active Directory, Group Policy, Sites and Services, DNS, and DHCP.

- A working knowledge of troubleshooting/ monitoring tools. Specifically

- Wireshark

- JunOs

- Juniper Mist

- Cato Networks

- PowerShell

- Cisco IOS

- Ubiquity

- A working knowledge of infrastructure standards governing cabling (Fiber optic and copper) and site cabling infrastructure design of both inside/outside plant.

- Cloud experience (AWS and Azure a plus.)

- A working knowledge of SD-WAN remote access technologies. Specific Cato Network experience a plus.

Qualifications

- A bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field is required.

- JNCIP-ENT – Juniper Certified Professional – Enterprise Routing and Switching (perferred)

- Minimum 6years of related work experience.

- Additional certification preferred and will be a consideration to cover both the experience and degree requirement. Applicable Certifications include, but not limited to:

- JNCIP-ENT – Juniper Certified Professional – Enterprise Routing and Switching

- Cisco Certified Network Professional

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Must be self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skill set.

- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, muti-tasking environment.

- Requires an ability to work independently and in a group environment.
