Description
As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) provides direct service to outpatient programs for substance abuse. Provide evaluations, interventions, and individual and group therapy to clients experiencing chemical abuse or chemical dependency. The LADC manages a full individual caseload by orienting clients to treatment and developing individual intervention, treatment, and recovery plans collaboratively with mental health staff. Maintain case history and progress notes while observing their clients. Counsel individuals or groups and implement therapeutic treatment plans to resolve addictions to drugs or alcohol. Other responsibilities include performing substance use evaluations for clients and making the appropriate referrals and recommendations.
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelors degree in chemical dependency or related human services field or exempt under MN statutes 148C
Certification as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) through the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
Must pass a criminal background check through MN DHS NetStudy
Access to a personal vehicle and the ability and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out position responsibilities.
Valid drivers license and insurable under the agencys automobile insurance policy
Free from substance use problems for no less than 2 years
