About this role

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Workday Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant to support an 
Australian client as they undertake their first Workday Payroll implementation. 
The successful candidate will provide both functional and technical expertise across Workday 
Payroll, supporting implementation activities as well as ongoing application management and 
support (AMS). Experience with Workday Time Tracking, Time & Attendance, and/or Absence 
Management will be highly advantageous, as the client is looking for a versatile consultant who 
can support multiple Workday areas across current and future initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide functional and techno-functional expertise across Workday Payroll, particularly 
within an Australian implementation environment.

- Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of Workday 
Payroll.

- Provide post-implementation and Application Management Services (AMS) support, 
including troubleshooting and issue resolution.

- Analyze payroll-related business requirements and translate them into effective Workday 
solutions.

- Configure and maintain Workday Payroll processes based on business and regulatory 
requirements.

- Support payroll testing, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution throughout 
implementation and post-go-live activities.

- Work closely with client stakeholders, implementation partners, and other Workday 
specialists to resolve functional and technical issues.

- Provide support across Workday Time Tracking, Time & Attendance, and/or Absence 
Management where applicable.

- Assist with system enhancements, configuration changes, and continuous improvement 
initiatives.

- Document configurations, processes, solutions, and support procedures.

- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to client teams that are developing their 
internal Workday Payroll capabilities.

REQUIRED CLARIFICATIONS:

- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, including implementation and/or post
production support.

- Demonstrated experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Workday Payroll 
functionality.

- Good understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and their integration with Workday.

- Experience supporting Workday implementations, enhancements, or AMS engagements.

- Strong functional understanding of payroll processes, requirements gathering, testing, and 
issue resolution.

- Ability to work independently and provide subject matter expertise in an environment 
where internal Workday Payroll knowledge is still developing.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and international teams.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

- Experience with Australian Payroll and familiarity with Australian payroll requirements and 
practices.

- Hands-on experience with Workday Time Tracking / Time & Attendance.

- Experience with Workday Absence Management.

- Experience across multiple Workday modules, particularly the integration between Payroll, 
Time Tracking, and Absence.

- Previous experience supporting a Workday implementation from implementation through 
post-go-live/AMS.

- Workday certifications related to Payroll, Time Tracking, or Absence Management.
