My responsibilities:

- Build, enhance, and maintain ALDI’s enterprise-wide Data Catalog

- Develop and optimise workflows and landing pages in the catalog to make catalog onboarding and routine use efficient and compliant

- Customise and enhance the Collibra-based solution end-to-end, including integration architecture (application owner tasks) and ensuring smooth operations (incl. third-level support)

- Coordinate technical demand-to-solution delivery with respect to connectors and metadata scanners (including development coordination and integration readiness)

- Operate and continuously improve catalog workflows and workflows effectiveness by monitoring and reporting on catalog usage and deriving targeted improvements and recommendations

- Design, optimise, and maintain asset model and metadata architecture to reflect how ALDI’s data is structured and governed

- Metadata management with business context: catalog ALDI data assets and ensure consistent, understandable meanings (metadata stewardship for findability and usability)

- Provide trainings and technical support for catalog users and teams, and act as a change agent for data-related topics

- Engage multiple stakeholders (business units and data management teams, incl. IPOs and countries) to continuously enrich the catalog with high-quality content

- Act as SPOC/Application expert for data catalog service disruptions, investigations, and resolutions to ensure stable catalog operations

- Keep up to date with relevant catalog technologies and innovations to proactively identify improvement opportunities

The knowledge I own:

- Hands-on experience in Groovy, scripting and creating workflow automatisations

- In-depth knowledge of BPMN: proven experience in designing, modeling and implementing complex, executable business process workflows

- Ability to build fault-tolerant workflows with proper error handling

- Hands-on analytical capability to translate business requirements into data management requirements, supported by structured problem-solving

- Active participation in Quality Assurance (QA) and UAT, assisting business users in testing and providing hands-on support during deployments.

- Hands on experience with Python

- Good command of English (upper-intermediate level or higher)

- Working in an agile environment

- Good understanding of API platforms and data integration principles, including experience with integration architecture and connector/scanner coordination

- Excellent communication and coordination abilities with experience in fostering collaborative environments

- Intercultural competence and experience collaborating with multiple team

- Nice to have:

Experience with SAP and/or integration architecture is advantageous

- Understanding of data governance principles, metadata management concepts, and how they translate into practical catalog structures

- Knowledge of data modeling/asset modeling and metadata architecture, including ability to optimize existing models

- Proficiency with Collibra or any other data catalouge solution
